Visitor Services at Aquarama: “Come with enthusiasm, and the park will make sure you have a great day.”

Before entering, during your stay at the water park, and even upon leaving, there is a (actually two) window where they manage to... #tucitafavorita of the summer with Aquarama Make it even more special. Here, everything has a solution, even if it doesn't seem like it, and those solutions always come with a big smile. It's about Visitor Services, the place where they answer our questions, suggestions, and report any issues in the park. But, How does Visitor Services work in a park like Aquarama? What are the most frequent questions people ask? And what's the strangest question they've ever received? We spoke with MC, who is in charge of this department, to learn more about her experience at Aquarama.

Where is the Aquarama Visitor Services located? Who can visitors ask their questions to, and where?
You'll find us at the entrance, between the two access doors. It's a visitor information office for both those already inside and those who haven't yet entered. For this reason, we have two entrances: one outside, so people can ask anything related to the park, such as ticket types, tickets, or any other questions beforehand; and another inside for visitors to use as a visitor information office, for lost and found items, information, etc.

What is your role within the Aquarama team?
My role is to advise visitors and ensure that their experience at Aquarama is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible; from before they enter the park until they leave.

What is it like to work in a water park?
It's entertaining because you see people having fun. Being at the entrance and by the gates, you can feel people's excitement, their eagerness to get in. It's fun, and the team is friendly, which makes for a great experience. Yes, the hours are demanding, because while everyone else is enjoying the summer, you're working, but it's nothing you can't do on your day off to unwind and come back to the park even more excited.

Did you enjoy the park as a user?
Yes, I came a few years ago for a birthday party and also as a summer school monitor. So I actually have three perspectives: as a customer, as a park employee, and as an external worker who comes to the park to work. And in all three cases, everything went smoothly and wonderfully.

And, as a monitor, would you recommend a visit to Aquarama as an activity within summer schools and camps?
I think it's a must-do outing. The kids really enjoy it, and the visits are usually short; you're not there all day, so it's not complicated for the counselors. It's simply a matter of keeping an eye on your group, just like you would anywhere else, but in the park with the added help of the lifeguards and Aquarama staff who are always ready to assist. Plus, the kids have a fantastic time.

What are the most common questions people ask you at Visitor Services?
There are two questions that come up frequently. One is about the new ticket exchange system, which, having been introduced this year, still has many people confused about. And people also ask a lot about the inflatable tubes; they want to know why there can't be more tubes in the queue for the rides where they're used. The answer is simple: if there were more tubes, the queue would form right at the top, at the exit of the slides, with people carrying their tubes in the sun, since the rides have a limited capacity, regardless of whether there are more or fewer. donuts.

«"There are two questions that come up a lot. One is about the new ticket exchange system and the other is about the floats."»

The strangest question or query you've ever been asked…
I don't know if it's strange, but it is curious because you wouldn't believe how many people ask for a special ticket just to eat the waffle. People whose main interest in the park is eating the waffle, and they ask for a type of ticket that only gives them access to go in, eat the waffle, and leave.

Without enjoying the attractions or anything else?
Just to go in and buy a waffle – he laughs. It's always fascinated me. The other day something really funny happened to me too. When a group of boys, about 15 years old, were leaving, they came up to us and asked about the Aquarama song, because they'd made a bet about what it was like. One said it was one way and the other said another, and I had to solve the mystery by singing it to them – he laughs. I'd say this is the strangest thing that's happened to me so far, and it's true.

But what about Aquarama's waffles? Because it's not just the taste, it's even the smell…
It's hypnotic. Even before a waffle is on the griddle, you can already smell it! – he laughs. It hits you right in the nose and you think, "I can't leave here without eating a waffle." The reputation is well-deserved, and the waffle is truly delicious. Everyone wants one, and it's practically a must if you visit Aquarama to have a waffle. Plus, they sell a pack online, the Waffle Pack, which includes two adult tickets and two waffles of two different flavors. And as a personal tip, if you like them with chocolate, don't order too much because it overpowers the waffle flavor, and what's really amazing is the batter. I didn't want to ask where they come from, but I understand they're imported. In fact, I've had customers who, as they were leaving, told me they were fantastic and that they had family in Belgium and admitted they were better than the original Belgian waffles.

«"Fame is built for a reason, and the waffle is truly good. Everyone wants one, and it's practically obligatory to eat the waffle if you visit Aquarama."»

And a question that isn't usually asked, but should be, because many people get confused…
Weather and ticket change issues. People don't know that tickets can be changed up to two times, or that the Aquarama website explains how to change the date in the general terms and conditions. There you can also find information about what the park is and isn't obligated to do in special circumstances, such as adverse weather. This would save a lot of trouble.

If I wear glasses for myopia and with a high prescription, what would you recommend so I can still enjoy Aquarama?
In these cases, lifeguards always recommend using contact lenses and goggles that protect your own lenses. You can use these on all attractions except the Kamikaze slides and Angel Falls. In the latter case, it's recommended to close your eyes, let yourself be carried away by the feeling of emptiness created by the 30-meter slide, and open them when you land in the pool. Carrying your goggles in your hand is permitted on those rides.

And how many contact lenses are typically lost each summer?
Not as many as people think, but quite a few teeth do get lost; dentures, prosthetics… Look, that's a curious question I've been asked, people who've begged me if, after the park closes, they could dive for their teeth. Proportionally, more teeth are lost than contact lenses. At FIB, a girl had lost two teeth and came asking for our help, and the next day the pool maintenance man found them and left them on my desk in a box, and I called her. She said, “Unbelievable! Unbelievable that they turned up!” –laughs–.

Speaking of FIB, how do you experience festival season?
FIB this summer has been intense because we've had a huge influx of people, many fibers. But considering the number of people we've had, everything has gone incredibly smoothly; they're very friendly, they understand perfectly that they have to wait in lines, etc. They come with a chip They're different and eager to have a good time and relax, and they don't care whether they buy a ticket for an hour or for the whole day; they just want to lie down and take a bath. And we try to make them feel at home, helping them with everything they need; we have to understand that they're away from home. Where the influx of the fibers It's in the park's restoration section.

The best advice for protecting little ones from the sun: lots of sunscreen, a t-shirt, or both?
Wearing a sun-protective rash guard is allowed, but if it doesn't fit snugly or isn't the right size, it can make it difficult to slide down the water slide. The best advice is to use plenty of sunscreen and reapply it frequently; it's not about... bathe Apply cream until you're white, or replace it. Also, make use of the parasols, sun loungers, and awnings.

In the event that a child gets lost, how do you handle it?
We operate in two different ways, depending on whether a lost child is found or if their parents are looking for them. In the first case, if the child is able to give us their name and age, we make an announcement over the PA system with a description of the child and ask the parents to please come and get them. If a parent has lost their child, we notify the lifeguards and provide them with the lost child's hair color, age, and the type and color of swimsuit. They then alert all lifeguards and security personnel, and a rapid search is conducted by the entire team. It takes very little time to find them. Furthermore, we also take special care at the entrances to ensure that children do not leave the area alone or in the company of strangers.

If I want to visit the park but bring food from home, what options do I have?
No problem, you can bring coolers with food; I've even seen people bring their own trays of sushi. However, alcoholic beverages, canned goods, and glass are not allowed. Even so, there's a wide variety of food options inside the park, and the prices are reasonable.

Of the surveys you usually conduct with visitors, what comes up most often? What do the public value most?
People greatly value safety and cleanliness. Visitors see the park and, with lifeguards, security personnel, and assistants, feel safe. They also appreciate the cleanliness and the surroundings; it's a comfortable environment that presents a positive image. Surrounded by nature, the cleaning team is constantly working, and the pools undergo daily quality control checks required by the Health Department. All of this is because everything works very well.

What is the attraction What attracts people's attention the most?
Of course, the pink kamikaze, the Devil's Leap, is a must-see, with its 30-meter freefall; it catches your eye even from afar. But, for a water park, one of its most striking features is the Space Shot, the only non-water attraction. And perhaps this is precisely why, besides being a factor that sets us apart from other water parks, having a non-water attraction included in the park admission price is so unique.

If we had a voucher to go to Aquarama, how We could exchange it?
You need to go to the Aquarama website, where you'll find two options: purchase and redeem. Once you click on "Redeem coupon," you'll be taken to a page where you'll need to enter the code on your coupon. After entering the code and clicking "Continue," a calendar will appear—a new feature this year—where you can select the day you want to visit the park. This is so users can see how busy the park is; if the date appears in green, it means the park is fully booked, and if it's in yellow, it means it's expected to be very busy. From there, you decide which day to visit the park and select the date. The next step is to complete the redemption process with your information, and once it's finished, you'll receive your ticket in your email. You can print it or bring it on your mobile phone, along with the coupon.

«"The new feature this year is that (in online sales) you can select the day you want to go to the park. This has been done so that users can see how the park is available."»

What is the best way to purchase tickets to visit the park?
Through the website. This option allows customers to purchase tickets at least eight hours in advance, making them much cheaper than buying them directly at the box office. The best option is Do it online and in advance, both in terms of price and the possibility of changing the date.

What makes Aquarama so special? #tucitafavorita of the summer? What is the park's main attraction?
The main attraction is its location in Benicàssim, an already attractive town, and the beach is just 10 minutes from the park. The setting is also great, nestled between the beach and the mountains, and the park itself boasts 18 attractions all packed into a relatively small area, so you don't need to travel far to get from one place to another and waste part of your day going back and forth.

And finally, what advice or recommendation would you give to someone who is going to visit the water park?
We want you to come ready to have a great time. No rush, no stress, and if you have any questions, just check our website, chat with us, or send an email beforehand and we'll get back to you. And anything else you might need along the way, the park will take care of, from a band-aid to a replacement flip-flop if yours breaks, a towel… Just come relaxed and ready to go, and Aquarama will do everything to make sure you have a wonderful day.
